Getting my ski legs back...

It's Feb 6, my last post was Jan 17. So what have we been doing since then? And where are those couple of posts per week I was talking about?

Well, what can I say, I got sidetracked. It happens to me a lot. First we had an unexpected long weekend in Indiana. It was nice to go home and visit with the family for a little while. The downside is the jet lag and the lovely sinus infection that it left me with. Said infection culminated with a 102F [39C] fever the night before we were supposed to go skiing. That night I thought it was a ruined weekend, I must have the flu or something, but the next day I felt considerably better, and in my experience it was probably due to a sinus problem.

Anyway, I sucked it up and we went skiing at Saas Fee, a quick 3 hour trip on train/bus and we were surrounded by glaciers! It was cold, but it snowed on SAT and it was sunny on SUN. It turned out to be a great weekend.

SD600_1701 I really wanted to post a picture of the glaciers, but it was so cold that we didn't take any ones that really display the glacier well. This is one of Sarah as we were about to ski off piste on top of a glacier.

We 're back at home and my sinus is still keeping me down. I feel better, finally getting back into accomplishing things around the house, but my head is feels like a lead balloon, full.

I managed to finish up the travel planning for Easter and my parents bought their plane tickets for their visit at the end of April and now the travel planning will begin for that. Mom and Dad will be here for 2 weeks and I'm planning 2 weekends trips, probably Paris on the TGV and Budapest by the cheapest flight. Fortunately, we've been both places already so I don't need to spend as much time researching stuff.

When that's finished we need to hammer down the rest of the year's plans. Some places that we've talked about going are Africa, Russia, Poland, Egypt. We're sort of extending out from Europe where we did all of our traveling last year [yeah, I still need to post about several trips that you haven't heard about yet... I'll get there].
